We offer a wide variety of programs and services to support the morale, welfare, recreational needs of troops and their families.
USO recognizes the sacrifices troops and their families make for this country, and it is more important than ever that they are remembered and supported. Because our military reflects the diversity of our nation, USO offers a variety of programs and services designed specifically to keep our military connected to family, home and country and strengthen the resiliency of service members and their families.
These programs and services are delivered by a small staff and nearly 30,000 volunteers world-wide; they are made available to Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard and their dependents, free of charge. In 2015, USO volunteers delivered programs and services to service members and their families more than 1.6 million times.
We provide support for troops and families in preparation for deployment overseas, and offer services to keep families connected during what can be a difficult time apart and away from home.
We provide a comprehensive long-term program that supports the continuum of care that helps provide wounded, ill or injured warriors with the hope and confidence to sustain their journey towards a full and rewarding life.
We deliver respite and comfort to grieving families coping with the loss of a loved one.
